Don’t Let Your Circumstances Define You

I’ve learned something over the years:
Your circumstances are not your identity.
Life can knock you down. It can disappoint you, challenge you, change your plans, and sometimes leave you wondering, “What now?”
But that’s the moment when you have a choice.
You can let your circumstances become your excuse—or you can decide they’re going to become part of your story.
I’ve had my share of challenges. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve had setbacks. But I’ve also learned that where you are is not necessarily where you’re going.
You are more than what happened to you.
You are more than your failures.
You are more than your past.
You still have a choice. You still have a voice. You still have a future.
So don’t spend your life explaining why you can’t.
Ask yourself:
“What can I do from here?”
Then take the next step.
Maybe it’s a small step. Maybe it’s a scary step.
Take it anyway.
Because your circumstances may be part of your story…
but YOU get to decide how the story continues.
Keep moving forward.
Keep believing.
Keep becoming.
Your next chapter has not been written yet.
