To office or not – That is the question!
Going back to work and vaccination conversations can be somewhat polarizing, and it all depends on our attitude and mindset.
Good Attitude vs. Good Mindset?
Your mindset is how you see the world around you.
Your attitude is how you interact with the world according to how you see things.
I always look at attitude as a combination of your thoughts, your feelings, and your actions.
I believe a positive attitude will always lead to a positive mindset.
So for me, it’s all about focusing on my attitude toward things.
Bad Attitude vs. Bad Mindset (which is worse?)
On the other hand, if you are “STUCK” in a “Stinkin Thinkin” mindset, you will have to change the way you think about things to feel the way you want and do the behaviors that lead to a positive attitude.
How to Change Your Mindset and Attitude
To change our mindset and or attitude, we must look at what we are focusing on. I was taught long ago that what we focus on, we get more of.
Focus on having a positive mindset and attitude.
How to Lead Your Team in a Polarized Workplace
When it comes to a team being on the same page, it is a little more complicated.
Think about it everyone has different thoughts and feelings about coming back to the office right now.
Fear, doubt, and uncertainty are ruling the minds of many.
That’s where having a good coach who looks from an outside perspective, grabs some information from all involved, and then shares the experience with the group.
The need for coaching.
“The power of coaching lies in the fact that it provides the organization with the most critical ingredient for extraordinary, consistent success: ongoing support, detailed action plans, constructive feedback, and, most importantly, personal and team accountability.
“In essence, a coach is the catalyst that helps an individual to unstoppable personal achievement.
In my opinion, there is no greater reward!”
Remember, your thoughts become the way you feel, and the way you feel leads to your behavior.
What are your thoughts about going back?
